Animal Cruelty

Two horrible things were brought to my attention today. I had heard of one but thought it was a joke. The other, I did not know, but still appalled me. The first: baby seal whacking, a new "sport" in Canada. What is it? It's just like the name implies. This "sport" is about whacking baby seals. I don't want to even go into this, all I can say is if you want more info, google it. The second is extremely sad and it pains me to even share this story. But the world MUST know about this. An artist named Guillermo Vargas Habacuc took a stray dog in from his streets in Spain and turned it into an exhibit. The exhibit? he tied up the dog in an art gallery and let it starve to death to show how sad it was that there were so many stray dogs. When I heard this story I thought "WHAT????? HOW DOES THAT PROVE THE POINT?" He says he's making a statement but he's really being a hypocrite. Here's what should have happened. He takes in a stray dog and brings it to the art gallery. He shows it off in it's current state. Over the next few weeks he feeds and nurses the dog back to health. He then returns to the gallery with the now well fed and fit dog. He then kick starts a campaign to help the dogs there with some help from PETA. So why didn't this happen? I honestly don't know. All I can say is this cannot be ignored.
