Thoughts on the Upcoming Election

Some of you are going to complain that this is too political. Some of you will say I've gone too far. And still others will say I'm over-generalizing. But frankly, I don't care. I believe strongly in this and feel like it is something I need to say. So here it is. This election, there is a good chance that Barrack Obama will win. If so, I believe America will be changed forever. No, I haven't gone over to the "Obama's a terrorist" side. I simply think that this country will be faced with a choice. The choice will not involved anything to do with politics. The choice will be whether the country will realize that racism is a true problem.
The fact of the matter is, racism is a real problem. A pastor once told me how some of his African-American friends were afraid that if Obama was elected, some people would conclude the problem of racism had been fixed and then ignore it. Now I realize that is not the case at all. If Obama is elected, I believe that people will realize how prejudiced America can be. Obama talks about change as his mission, but the biggest change will be one he hasn't even planned. This change will hopefully be for the better. If it goes well, I hope that America can move towards true equality in all things.

Here's how I see it.....

Why I'm voting Democratic:
I'm voting Democrat because --English has no place being the official language in America.

I'm voting Democrat because --I'd rather pay $4 for a gallon of gas than allow drilling for oil off the coasts of America.

I'm voting Democrat because-- I think the government will do a better job of spending my money than I could.

I'm voting Democrat --because when we pull out of Afghanistan and Iraq, I know the Islamic terrorists will stop trying to kill us because they'll think we're a good and decent country.

I'm voting Democrat because-- I believe people who can't tell us if it will rain in two or three days, can now tell us the polar ice caps will disappear in ten years if I don't start riding a bicycle, build a windmill or inflate my tires to proper levels.

I'm voting Democrat because --it's all right to kill millions of babies as long as we keep violent, convicted murderers on death row alive.

I'm voting Democrat because --I believe businesses in America should not be allowed to make profits. Businesses should just break even and give the rest to the government so politicians and bureaucrats can redistribute the money the way they think it should be redistributed.

I'm voting Democrat because --I believe guns, and not the people misusing them, are the cause of crimes and killings.

I'm voting Democrat because-- when someone with a weapon threatens my family or me, I know the government can respond faster through a call to 911 than I can with a gun in my hand.

I'm voting Democrat because-- oil companies' 5% profit on a gallon of gas is obscene, but government taxes of 18% on the same gallon of gas are just fine.

I'm voting Democrat because --I believe three or four elitist liberals should rewrite the Constitution every few months to suit some fringe element that could never get their agenda past voters.

I'm voting Democrat because--- illegal aliens are not criminals, are not sucking up resources through government aid, hospital services, education, or social services, but are just people trying to make a better life by coming to America illegally. We can't blame them for that, can we?

I'm voting Democrat because--- now I can marry whatever I want, so I've decided to marry my horse.

Reasons not to vote for Obama:
1. He supports infanticide, literally!

2. His spiritual mentor for 20 years has been Jeremiah Wright whom Obama personally chose out of many Chicago pastors. It strains credibility that he didn’t know about Wright’s views. He listened to tapes of Rev. Wright when he was at Harvard Law! So why did he choose him and stick with him for so long? The only possible explanation is that he approved of Wright’s tirades.

3. He is a close friend of William Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn, unrepentant Weather Underground terrorists.

4. He is a target for assassination, not because he is black but because he is a Muslim apostate, according to devout Muslims around the world. Therefore, he cannot be a good Chief Diplomat to the Middle East.

5. He was mentored by a communist.

6. His economic plan will harm the US economy and create more fiscal irresponsibility with the Congressional Budget. Why do we want to return to the days of Jimmy Carter?

7. He is in favor of unilateral disarmament, leaving America defenseless against its enemies.

8. He is unaccomplished. He hasn’t really done anything of worth relative to the office of the US presidency. He’s only been in the Senate for about two years (assumed in office Jan of 2005 and announced his candidacy for the presidency in Feb 2007). One can’t be simultaneously a full-time senator and a full-time presidential candidate. Soon he will have campaigned for almost as long as he has been in the Senate.

9. He is willing to personally meet with hostile dictators like Hugo Chavez and Ahmadinejad with no preconditions. They don’t deserve such a privilege of meeting the President of the USA. Reagan negotiated from a position of strength, when he thought he could gain something. What does Obama hope to gain?

10. Three other people: Tony Rezko, Eric Holder, Jim Johnson. Why does Obama associate with such shady characters?
